Christmas

We spent Christmas at our little apartment with my mom and Mark. They made an amazing ham and we enjoyed opening presents and talking to Kyra, Matt, and Brina on Skype. It was a very relaxing day.

Sophia's stocking that Nana made. Love it.

Ransom

Just a quick little picture of Ransom making himself comfortable on a pile of Sophia's clothes.

Future Ballplayer

My dad and I dressed Sophia up in some old sports gear. She looked so stinking cute. He is already trying to get her to swing the bat. I hope she grows up to love sports as much as her mom. =)

Christmas Card 2010

We are so lucky to have my dear friend Jackie take Sophia's pictures all the time. She is so talented and is so good with Sophia. I love the pictures she takes and I am so grateful to have her in our lives to do so. We had to do a little convincing with some chocolate cheerios and m&m's, but we got some great photos.

Dainty Eater

These pictures say it all. She is on a a kick where she hold things with only two fingers. It cracks Shawn and I up. When she ate the tortilla that was the first time we had seen her to do it. Then we went to five guys and she did it with a grilled cheese. Ha!

Christmas Tree Shopping

This year we decided to get a real tree. The fake one we were using was tired. We had gotten it for $25 the first Christmas Shawn and I were together. We were so excited to take Sophia to get a tree. We scoped out a super cute tree lot that had the small town local feel and everything. After all our planning and hopes, Sophia slept through the entire experience. Hopefully next year we will plan a little better and she can be awake during the process.

Playtime in the Crib

Here is Sophia playing in her crib. She thought it was pretty cool. I put her in there so I could put her clothes away without her throwing them all over.

Turkey Day Football Shirt

What would turkey day be without an awesome football shirt. Shawn picked this one out and I tried so hard to get a bow in Sophia's hair so it would make the outfit look a little more girlie but.....that did not work out so well. =)

Arizona for Thanksgiving

This year we went to Arizona to be with Shawn's grandparents for Thanksgiving. The last time we went Sophia was crawling around, but this time was a whole new experience because she was running around like a crazy girl. Shawn and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner, with guidance from Grandma of course. It was our first ever attempt at this. I have to say I was very impressed with ourselves. I was so scared I was going to ruin something. Wish they lived a little closer so we could spend more time with them. Sophia really does love hanging out with her Great Grandparents.

Avacados!

Sophia loves avacados these days. She has a heck of a time picking them up. Shawn and I were cracking up watching her make an absolute mess of herself. There really are no words for these pictures.

I love laundry mommy.

Our little miss loves playing with the laundry...no matter if it is clean or dirty. We had to alter where we fold our clothes, but Daddy decided to bring Sophia to the safe folded laundry spot. All the nicely folded clothes were a messy pile in no time. =)

Sophia is 1 year old!

I can't believe that my little love is already one year old. She has been such a joy in our lives. Here are some of the things that she has been up to:

~She officially started walking on her actual birthday.
~She says, "ball" and "hi"
~She knows where her nose, ears and belly are if you ask her.
~She gives the longest sweetest hugs I have ever received from a toddler.
~She is wearing 24 months and 2T clothes along with a size 5 1/2 shoe
~She has four molars, two on top and two on the bottom.
~She loves to brush her teeth with Mommy.
~She will still eat whatever you put in front of her.
~She dances in the backseat of the car and it is absolutely priceless.

We had a few celebrations for Sophia's birthday. I have not collected all the pictures from all the events yet, but I am working on it.

Pumpkin Patch

I promised my little brothers Shawn and I would take them to the pumpkin patch this year. Of course the day we decide to go it is scheduled to rain. We could have stayed home, but instead we thought we would try to beat the rain. Besides the thick tar like mud and the slightly chilled air we got some great pumpkins. Just as we were loading up to head out down came the rain.

Super excited to be there.

She just kept giggling. She did not know where to start.

She wanted to take this one home. Ha!

The uncles trying to help her decide which one.

I think she finally found a good one.

A quick family photo before the rain.
