Xmas Eve with the Willingham's

This year was the first year in a long time that Shawn's grandparents were in town for Christmas. All four of their children were there as well as their grandchildren. It was so wonderful for them to have all of the family together under one roof. It meant so much to Shawn to spend Christmas with his grandparents. It was the first of many stops for little Sophia for her fist Christmas. At the end of our stops we were totally exhausted but it was all worth it. We enjoyed spending time with our families this holiday season.

Sophia loves her Nana Betty. She falls asleep in her arms everytime she holds her. I am so glad she has got to spend so much time with her.
Shawn with his siblings. I was informed that they take this same picture every year. I thought that was kind of sweet.

Our first Christmas with our little princess.
Her outfit wsa the cutest thing ever. Everyone loved it. I can't wait untile she can be in dance classes with tutu's.

It is so wonderful to have so much love all around her.
So glad Shawn's uncle Mark got to meet Sophia finally.

Beverly and Dylan hanging with Sophia. He loves her so much already. He wants her to be able to play with him. It's hard to convince him that it is going to take a little while for her to get there.

Shawn's cousin Noelle and her husband Marc hosted a lovely evening. I am still thinking about the awesome heath filled fudge she made.

Crazy Aunt Talia

Sophia has six aunts and a couple of them are a little bit crazy. When I say crazy I mean very animated and full of life. Talia is one of those aunts. She is my fifteen year old sister. She makes the funniest faces and Sophia loves it. My older sister Jessica can't wait to see who can make Sophia laugh more with their animated faces. We will see who is victorious on Christmas eve.

Grandma love

My mom came down for a visit this weekend to help with xmas card pictures. I had a meltdown at the studio last week so she came to the rescue. The picture we took were super cute and we got the cards out the next day.....thanks to Walmart. =) Here are some of the ones that didn't make the cut but that were still adorable.

My mom and Sophia were matching so I had to take their picture. I am so jealous of my mom's camera. It takes great pictures. She let me borrow it for this week. I am so excited to take lots more pictures. I apologize in advance to poor little Sophia. =)

Big smiles

Sophia is all smiles these days. It is so much fun to interact with her. Her whole face lights up when you talk to her. I just love it!

Sweet moments with Shawn & Sophia

Here are some of my favorite pictures of Shawn and Sophia. I torture them constantly with the camera, but it is so worth it because the shots I get are priceless.

Nana and Papa

Shawn's grandparents are in town for the whole month of December. They got to meet Sophia for the first time and it was so precious. Papa is a little too nervous to hold her, but Nana just scooped her right up. Sophia was very comfortable with Nana and fell asleep in her arms.

Nana had a bad accident the next day and had to have emergency surgery. She is doing great, but her speech is taking some time to come back to normal. When Sophia comes to visit Nana lights up and she just talks and talks. It is almost like free therapy. Sophia can't get enough of her either. She is all smiles when she talks to her. I had to hold back the tears the last time I was there. It is just too sweet for words.

Thanksgiving

We spent Sophia's first Thanksgiving up in Lincoln at my Nana's house. It was very relaxing because of course my stubborn Nana did all the cooking. She will not let us help her cook...good thing she doesn't mind that we do the dishes. We also got to enjoy some football on her brand new very large flat screen tv.

My Nana is making Sophia a stocking just like the one she made me when I was a baby. I almost started crying when I saw the pattern. I cannot believe she is going to make her one. It is such a a huge project and I am so grateful for the hard work. I get very emotional about the whole thing. I cannot wait to see it finished.
