All I have to say about these pictures is precious. She is the best snuggler. I hope she never grows out of loving to snuggle.

Talking with Daddy
2009
Shawn and I had quite the year in '09. We just wanted to recap on all of the challenges and big moments of the year.
It all began with Shawn starting a new job. He left the daycare and the restaurant to go and work with my dad. The idea of having a 9-5 Mon-Fri job was thrilling. He loves it and is enjoying his weekends and nights off.
A couple days later I was laid off from my job followed by our roommate needing to move out. So needless to say we added bills and took away income. It was awesome. My birthday followed a few days later with Shawn asking me to marry him....and this was just January.
After all of that my back started to bug me a bit. I had an old injury from my Army days start to flair up a little. It just kept getting worse as the days went by. Not knowing it was being aggravated by little Miss Sophia growing in there. =)
We couldn't handle the rent in Shawn's apartment and had to shack up with his sister for a little while. We packed up our home and put all of our belongings in a storage unit. I landed a job watching some kids, but my back was getting so bad it only lasted a short while. The farther along in my pregnancy I got the worse my back pain got. I finally did get some relief from a steroid shot and it was a life saver.
We stayed at his sister's house for about a month. We then moved in with my dad. The kids were not in school thank goodness because we kicked Raven out of her room. She is such a trooper. We stayed until the end of August. I wanted to get out before the kids went back to school so that they could get back to their routine. We found a great place in Livermore and moved there at the end of the month. Don't know what I was thinking moving at almost nine months pregnant. You gotta do what you gotta do. We have so many great friends and family that helped us transistion to our new place and we are very grateful for them.
Then after we settled in for a little over a month we welcomed Sophia home. It was year full of a lot of ups and downs but we made it through. We are so happy to be in our own place with our sweet baby girl. We made it through maybe not with smiles on our faces always but came out strong. Bring on '10 can't wait to see what's in store.
