Sophia was super excited to see what Santa had left for her.
Xmas morning. This year Sophia was super excited to wake up and see what Santa had brought her. She put this skirt on and kept it on the entire morning. It was cracking me up. We had a nice relaxing morning and enjoyed watching Sophia open all her presents.

Xmas Eve
This year Sophia really understood the concept that Santa was actually coming and that we have to leave cookies for him. She was soooo into it and it makes Christmas Eve so much more special. She got to pick out the cookies and she thought that was the coolest thing ever. My mom and Mark came over to spend the night with us and Sophia very excited to share all of this Santa business with them. What a joy she is in our lives.

Xmas Cookies @ Auntie Shari's
This was Sophia's first year participating in the Christmas cookie decorating extravaganza. She was a little shy about it at first, but then she got into it. Shawn was into from the get go of course. Being around his sister always brings out the silly side of him. The kids had a great time and it is always nice to spend quality time with all of them.

Thanksgiving in AZ
This year Shawn's mom and Rodney joined us on our trip to AZ. We rented a car and drove the long journey. Sophia is such a trooper in the car. I am so thankful for this.
Shawn's Nana got a new motorized chair and I think Shawn wanted to take it home. Ha!
Shawn and I did the bulk of the cooking. It is for sure a learning experience. Keeping everything warm and making sure there is enough of everything takes a little but of skill. Of course one of the highlight dishes is Nana's stuffing. She was feeling up to it so we had her do her famous stuffing. I am glad I have learned how to do it, so I can teach Sophia one day.
Dinner was a success. Everyone had a nice time and Sophia kept us all entertained.
She even let me braid her hair.

Halloween
Shawn's dad came and decorated our house for Halloween. Sophia of course wanted to come out and help. Here they are doing some last minute fixes.
Kayla came over to go trick-or-treating with us. They girls were both Tinkerbell. It totally wasn't planned. They were the cutest little fairies on the block!
At the end of the night she was still super pumped from all the treating. She loved it! The girls were a hit in the neighborhood. They did so good saying everything they needed to say.

Pumpkin Carving
I love carving pumpkins. I am not the best artist in the world, but I can make a respectable pumpkin face. Sophia was very into this whole thing this year. She helped Shawn put some crystals into a little pumpkin and "assisted" me in carving mine.

Pumpkin Patch
We went back to the same pumpkin patch we went to last year. It is such a young kid friendly place. Sophia's favorite part hands down is the horse ride. She would stay there all day if you let her. It was a beautiful day and we got to spend it with some dear friends the Carroll's.
